Janet was a pivotal player in ensuring the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Ceremonies Health and Safety were planned and implemented at the highest level. Her talent, diligence and common sense ensured the Health and Safety of all was maintained throughout the Ceremonies production.

World leading Ceremonies always bring inevitable health and safety challenges, due to the different pressures that these multi-faceted productions create, but her calm determination, direction and professionalism ensured safe solutions were always found.

Sellery Health + Safety is consulting for us on how effective our committee operates and is assisting us with re-vamping our H & S policy.

We really enjoy that Janet brings a theatre background to the Health and Safety table and has the ability to apply solutions that relate directly to what we do as theatre operators as opposed to other industrial or construction situations.

Janet brings a wealth of insight and knowledge to health and safety especially the unique health and safety requirements with staging productions. In 2010 Janet was a member of the judging panel for Skills Canada - Ontario and Skills Canada events. I could not have had a successful event without her assistance.

Thank you so much for preparing our Health and Safety Plan for the Royal Conservatory of Music’s new Koerner Hall. Your knowledge of the tasks performed by stage crew, actors, musicians and dancers, and your understanding of stage machinery, lighting, and other operational practices allowed us to open the new hall with a comprehensive plan in place.

During this busy start up time it was a comfort to me to have had this very important work completed by a professional, with encyclopedic knowledge of Health and Safety practice and legislative requirements.

One year into our operation, there is little need for revision in this area, despite many changes that developed over the start up of the new facility. A surprise visit to our facility by an inspector also resulted in no work orders being issued against the Production Department.

We at Theatre Direct were really happy with the work that Janet Sellery did in creating our Health and Safety program. She was able to personalize the documents to reflect the activities that we do in our small theatre, studio and office spaces.

It was great getting quick responses to questions when they came up, and we were involved in the process without being overwhelmed. I also liked how easy it was to implement the Health and Safety practices to ensure we were creating a safe environment for everyone visiting and working in our facilities.
